Two people are facing charges in connection to what police call historic domestic incidents.

The victim went to police headquarters on Sunday to report the alleged abuse.

As a result of the investigation, a 28-year-old man from Raleigh Township has been charged with two counts of forcible confinement, four counts of assault, mischief, uttering threats to cause bodily harm, and assault causing bodily harm. He was held pending a bail hearing.

Authorities say the mother of the accused also assaulted the victim.

A 54-year-old woman from Erieau is charged with two counts of assault. She was released with a date in court next month.

No further details, including the victim’s age and how long ago the alleged incidents happened, are not being released due to privacy concerns and to protect the identity of the victim.
