Two local men have been arrested in connection to separate incidents involving stolen vehicles.

Late last week, a Ford F-150 truck was reported stolen from Wheatley. Thursday afternoon, the vehicle was found in an apartment parking lot in Chatham.

With help from the Street Crimes Unit, police were able to identify a 32-year-old suspect, who has since been arrested and charged with possession of stolen property and failing to comply with a release order.

Meantime, on Wednesday, another Ford pick-up was stolen from a Thamesville home. The vehicle was spotted yesterday afternoon driving down Zone Road 4. Police gave chase, but the man behind the wheel allegedly drove into a field and took off on foot.

The 32-year-old Euphemia Township man was eventually tracked down and arrested. He’s been charged with flight from police, dangerous driving, possession of stolen property, two counts of driving while suspended, and probation offences.
