Two Women Arrested After Theft From Walmart

Two local women are facing charges following a theft from the Chatham Walmart.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said on Monday shortly before 7:40 p.m., two women left the St. Clair Street business with a cart full of products without attempting to pay.

Witnesses provided a description of the pair and their vehicle to officers.

Shortly after, police stopped a vehicle on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg and arrested two suspects.

A 34-year-old Chatham woman and a 37-year-old Chatham-Kent woman are now both charged with theft and possession of stolen property. They have since been released with conditions and a court date in March.
