Harassment charges have been laid against two Chatham-Kent women.

The Chatham-Kent Police Service said two women were advised to cease all communication with a man and woman on May 22. The women were told their communication was unwanted and would result in charges if it continued.

Police said officers later learned the women allegedly continued the unwanted communication despite being cautioned, and they were both arrested Tuesday night.

The 28-year-old Chatham woman and 47-year-old Wallaceburg woman have been charged with criminal harassment. They were taken to police headquarters and later released with conditions and a future court date of June 29.
