The waiting continues for Canadians looking to drive over to the US.
The American government has extended border restrictions for non-essential travel at land and ferry crossings until at least September 21st.
Officials with the US Department of Homeland Security say the decision was made to minimize the spread of COVID-19, including the Delta variant.
“In coordination with public health and medical experts, DHS continues working closely with its partners across the United States and internationally to determine how to safely and sustainably resume normal travel,” an online statement reads.
Canada opened its borders to fully-vaccinated Americans on August 9th.
