Wallaceburg area residents will have another chance to engage directly with council and mayoral candidates running in the municipal election.
A candidate meet-and-greet is being held at the UAW Hall on Elm Drive South on October 15, featuring question-and-answer periods with the attending candidates. Candidates running in Ward 5 and for Mayor will receive two questions in advance, and all remaining questions will be drawn at random from community submissions.
Organizer and Ward 5 candidate Zac Nicholson said the free, public event is designed to foster open dialogue between constituents and the candidates seeking to represent them.
Doors open at 6 p.m., registration is not required, and all community members are welcome.
Chatham-Kent residents head to the polls on October 26.
