Union Gas employees raise $600,000 for United Way of Chatham-Kent

Employees at Union Gas are donating $600,026 to the United Way of Chatham-Kent.

President of Union Gas Steve Baker says giving back is a priority for the company.

“Giving back to the community where all of us work and live is the number one things we can do as a company. We take a lot of pride in doing that”, says Baker. “Our goal is to be the partner of choice for the communities where we work and operate, and certainly the United Way campaign is a big part of our employees being able to give back to the community and help out those in need”.

The announcement was made earlier this afternoon at Union Gas head office on Keil Drive North in Chatham.

Most of the funds were raised by employees and retirees through the company’s payroll campaign, raffles, and draws.

Union Gas helps raise about a third of all donations to the United Way of Chatham-Kent every year.

The company also announced that they’ve raised $1,009,476 for United Way’s across Ontario this year.
