The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority has a new tool to teach kids about the earth.
With help from a $2000 Union Gas grant, the organization has built a virtual reality sandbox that allows students to learn more about geography, geology, and hydrology.
The hands-on exhibit, which includes a raised sandbox, camera, computer, and projector, will be put to use at various festivals, like the annual Chatham-Kent and Lambton Children’s Water Festival, as well as libraries and other educational events.
