United Way of Chatham-Kent is inviting local non-profit groups to apply for funding that will help make a difference in the community.

United Way is now accepting applications for Community Impact Grants for programs and projects that will create real, lasting change to improve quality of life and build strong, healthy communities across Chatham-Kent.

To qualify, the project or program must align with one or more of United Way of Chatham-Kent’s focus areas — inclusion and representation; building strong communities across all of Chatham-Kent, addressing fundamental social issues; reconciliation lens and learning; and an action focus with the ability to effect system or culture change.

Not-for-profit groups in Chatham-Kent that wish to apply are asked to fill out a letter of intent by 10 p.m. on October 7. All applications will be reviewed by members of United Way of Chatham-Kent’s Community Impact Committee.

For more information about how to apply, applicants can contact United Way Chatham-Kent by calling 519-354-0430.
