The United Way of Chatham-Kent will unveil this year’s fundraising goal at a kick-off event tonight.

The Kent 1874 will host the event, and includes dinner and live bands.
Director of Resource Development, Tom Slager, says it’s going to be an evening of entertainment.
“It’s a celebration, it’s a party,” Slager says. “We just go out and have a good time, because the next three months are a lot of hard work, so we’re trying to reward the people of this community.”
Tickets are $20, the doors open at 6pm.
The 2016 campaign brought in just over $1.7-million to support the United Way’s member agencies.
