A local woman who overstayed her welcome at a downtown Chatham business has now been charged.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a King Street West business on Friday just before 10 a.m., after a woman was asked to leave, but refused.
During a confrontation, authorities said the woman also threw an object at another individual. The victim did not require medical attention.
A 33-year-old woman, who had been trespassed from the property in the past, was located arrested. She is now charged with one count of assault with a weapon.
The accused was taken to the South West Detention Centre to await her next court appearance.
