Up To 35 Active COVID Cases, ICU Occupancy Drops to 60%

The up again, down again trend of CK’s COVID stats continues.

Public Health is reporting six new cases today along with three resolutions, raising the total active caseload to 35.

There are currently 10 COVID-positive patients being treated at the Health Alliance, four of whom are in the ICU, and two are on a ventilator.

As far as a regional breakdown goes, CKHA says nine of the COVID patients are Chatham-Kent residents and one is from outside the area.

The outbreak in the CKHA Medicine Unit is holding steady with seven total cases.

Currently the ICU is 60% filled, while the hospital’s medical, surgical, and critical care beds are at 76.1% capacity.
