Up to 35 Active COVID Cases in CK

A slight uptick in COVID numbers from public health today with five new cases since yesterday’s report.

The total active caseload is now sitting at 35, including the CKHA outbreak and one ongoing workplace outbreak. Officials say there are now nine local residents being treated for the virus in hospital.

To date, 194 cases of variants of concern or related mutations have been identified in Chatham-Kent.

Province-wide there are 2320 new cases today and another 32 deaths linked to the virus. Ontario’s positivity rate is sitting at 6.4%, the lowest it’s been in over a month.
