The St Clair Catholic District School Board has set aside over $9-million for upgrades to schools across the region.
Among the capital projects being planned, $500,000 in interior upgrades at UCC; $4.8 million for mechanical upgrades to five elementary schools and the Catholic Education Centre in Wallaceburg; $1.6 million for roof and window replacements; and asphalt and parking lot upgrades at Christ the King, Our Lady of Fatima, and UCC.
The board is also spending $900,000 on upgraded access control systems at a number of schools in both Chatham-Kent and Lambton County.
Officials say the work will be completed over the coming months.
