Another uptick in Chatham-Kent’s COVID cases today and another outbreak declared by Public Health.
The agency is reporting 7 new infections and just two cases resolved, raising the number of active cases to 58 across the municipality.
Three CK residents are being treated for the virus in hospital.
Meantime, another school-based outbreak has been declared with two new infections at École élémentaire catholique Saint-Francis in Tilbury.
Four other elementary schools in Chatham are still dealing with outbreaks of their own, along with the church-related outbreak and Tilbury Manor Nursing Home.
Province-wide, the Ministry of Health has recorded 591 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. Seven more people have died from the virus across Ontario.
