It’s now a little bit easier to get around Chatham-Kent.
U-Ride – a ride-sharing app similar to Uber – launched last week, and CEO Cody Ruberto says their prices are competitive.
“We’re a little bit less than the current cost,” Ruberto says. “I think ride sharing can be a great thing for an area like Chatham-Kent because there’s flexibility, you can have drivers in different areas and can connect the region for a fairly low cost.”
Ruberto says the Uride app is available for download now.
Anyone interested in driving for Uride can send them a message on their Facebook page.
The company already operates in Thunder Bay and Dryden in Northern Ontario. This is its first expansion into southern Ontario.
