It won’t be long before fully-vaccinated Canadians will once again be allowed to drive across the border to the States.
The US government has confirmed fully vaccinated visitors from Canada and Mexico will be welcomed at land border crossings next month.
However, official say the U.S. Centres for Disease Control and Prevention is still working on the guidelines, and it’s not clear what vaccines would be accepted or if mixed doses will meet eligibility tests.
Land and sea borders have been closed to non-essential travel since the pandemic was first declared in March, 2020.
The current restrictions are set to expire on October 21st, but while an exact date for the reopening has yet to be announced, officials say the first phase will come in early November.
