Ontario Energy Minister Glenn Thibeault made a stop in Chatham today to discuss the potential merger between Entegrus and St. Thomas Energy.
Thibeault says he supports the merger, which still needs regulatory approval from the OEB, Thibeault says energy rates shouldn’t change following the merger, which is expected to be completed in the new year.
If approved, the utility would be the 11th largest in Ontario, serving nearly 60,000 people.
