Chatham-Kent’s top doctor has given the green light for residents at Fairfield Park to start receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
Dr. David Colby confirmed to 99.1 News late this morning that the outbreak, first declared on January 10th, has come under control enough to be able to send in the Public Health vaccination team.
Dr. Colby says it has been three days since any new infection involving a resident, and a number of cases involving patients are now resolved, clearing the way for vaccinations to begin.
There are roughly 90 residents in the 103 bed facility.
