Ontarians can say goodbye to COVID-19 vaccine passports at most locations across the province.
As of Tuesday, the provincial government has lifted proof of vaccination requirements for all indoor non-essential settings, including restaurants, bars, theatres, fitness centres, casinos, and more. However, business owners may choose to keep the mandate active.
Vaccine requirements in more vulnerable settings, such as long-term care and health care, remain in place.
All capacity limits at all indoor public settings have also been lifted.
Premier Doug Ford announced the accelerated timeline for easing health restrictions on February 14 in response to declining COVID cases and hospital admissions across the province.
While the provincial masking mandate remains in effect, Ford said on Monday that it could be lifted sometime this month. The premier has not committed to a date.
