Vaccine Policy Discussion Removed From Council Agenda

It was poised to be one of the biggest discussions at tonight’s council meeting, but a municipal vaccine policy has been pulled from the agenda.

North Kent councillor Joe Faas was planning on making a motion at tonight’s Chatham-Kent council meeting, which would have Chatham-Kent administration look into implementing a policy mandating municipal employees be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

However, it appears that Faas now plans to withdraw his motion.

Locally, other public sector employers, such as St. Clair College and the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance have already mandated their employers to be fully vaccinated by next month.
