Charges have been laid after a vehicle struck a train in Thamesville.

Emergency crews were called to the area of London Road in Thamesville around 9 o’clock Wednesday morning and say the crash caused roughly $90,000 in damage.

According to Chatham-Kent Police, there were two people in the vehicle at the time, but amazingly no one was hurt.

Authorities say the driver has been charged with disobeying a railway crossing signal/proceed unsafely contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
