A Tilbury woman has been charged after allegedly driving more than double the speed limit in Raleigh Township.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers on general patrol spotted a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed on Merlin Road at around 12:30 a.m. on Monday.
Officers stopped the vehicle after it was clocked at around 175 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
A 30-year-old Tilbury East woman is now charged with stunt driving. Her vehicle has been impounded and she will answer the charge in court at a later date.
