An arrest has been made after a vehicle was stolen from outside of a business in Tilbury.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to the Queen Street North business on Wednesday at around 12:24 a.m.
While reviewing surveillance footage of the theft, the officers were able to identify a suspect who is known to police.
The suspect was located on Lyon Street at around 2:29 p.m. while driving a different vehicle. Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver.
After speaking with the driver, officers were able to determine the location of the stolen vehicle near Thamesville.
A 36-year-old Tilbury man is now charged with driving while prohibited, theft over $5,000, and possessing stolen property. He was taken to police headquarters and released with conditions and a September court date.
