Police are appealing to the public for information after a memorial crosswalk was defaced in Erieau.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said damage was caused to the Veterans Memorial Crosswalk on Nichols Avenue in downtown Erieau at around 2 a.m. on Saturday.
Photos of the site show tire marks along the crosswalk.
Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area or who may have a dash camera, security camera, or cell phone footage from the area around the time of the incident is asked to contact police.
