An assault charge has been laid after a verbal argument turned physical in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a Park Avenue East address at around 4 p.m. on Wednesday regarding an incident that had occurred the night before.
Authorities said an argument had escalated between two people when one of them shoved the other.
As a result, a 58-year-old Chatham woman was located and arrested in connection with the incident. She has been charged with assault and was released with conditions and a July court date.
