Chatham-Kent Victim Services is recruiting volunteers to help their fellow residents in their most painful moments.

The organization is looking to recruit people as community crisis responders who will provide immediate emotional support to those impacted by crime, tragedy, or trauma.

Those interested in volunteering must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license and phone. Volunteers must also commit to 48 hours of on-call shifts per month.

Chatham-Kent Victim Services will offer two training classes on October 22-23 and on December 3-4.
