Chatham-Kent Victim Services is looking to recruit volunteers to help their fellow community members during their most painful moments.
The organization has begun its spring volunteer recruitment campaign for community crisis responders who will provide immediate emotional support to those impacted by crime, tragedy, or trauma.
Those interested in volunteering must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license and phone. Volunteers must also commit to 48 hours of on-call shifts per month.
Victim Services will be offering training classes on May 6-7 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Those interested can apply online by clicking here.
