The Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent is getting ready for the iCan Bike Camp. This camp is for individuals with special needs to experience the thrill of learning how to ride a two-wheel bike on their own. According to CTC’s Shauna Jackson,
“Over a 5-day period, they attend 75 minutes a day, and the camps have an 80% success rate. We’re looking forward to it on July 11th.”
The camp has 32 youth registered from all over Chatham-Kent, with a range of abilities.
The Children’s Treatment Centre still needs 20 more volunteers to help the participants with learning how to ridge their own 2-wheel bike.
The camp will take place at the Thames Campus Arena from July 11th-15th.
