24 nurses with the VON in Sarnia are on strike.
The employees with the Victorian Order of Nurses walked off the job at 8 am Saturday when their contract demands were rejected.
Union reps claim they were asking for a 1% increase which works out to about 22 cents an hour.
Nurses with the VON do the majority of their work in schools and homes.
