Voting Opens For Popular Snowplow Naming Contest.

Chatham-Kent residents are once again being given the opportunity to name their community’s snowplows.

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent has opened the voting period online to allow community members to choose from one of the 30 submitted snowplow names.

Some of this year’s name submissions include Apocalypse Plow, No More Mr. Ice Guy, Plow-Zilla, Salter Gretsky, Everyday I’m Shovellin’, Snow Problem, Lightning McClean, Scoop Dogg, Flurrie Jenkins, and Tony Snowprano.

Voting will close on November 30 and the winning snow plow names will be announced in December.

Last year’s contest drew nearly 1,100 name submissions and more than 5,300 votes were cast to decide the final names.
