Walk Supporting Those Experiencing Hurt, Hunger, and Homelessness

While the temperature may have warmed up, a local organization is set to mark the Coldest Night of the Year this weekend.

The family-friendly fundraiser in support of those experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness is set to take place Saturday, February 28 in Chatham.

Proceeds support annual operating costs for NeighbourLink Chatham-Kent as it works to combat poverty alongside churches and other organizations across the municipality. Organizers are hoping to raise $70,000 with this year’s event.

The walk will begin at Grace Christian Reformed Church on Tweedsmuir Avenue West in Chatham starting at 4 o’clock. A light meal will be served afterwards.
