Local residents will be lacing up their running shoes this weekend to support Chatham-Kent families living with dementia.
The Walk for Alzheimer’s runs from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, May 25 at Kingston Park in Chatham, and will include live music, door prizes, a petting farm, and more.
Tickets will also be sold for the Alzheimer Society’s 50/50 draw. The winning ticket will be drawn on Friday, May 30.
This year’s fundraising goal for the Walk for Alzheimer’s is $70,000.
All funds raised stay in Chatham-Kent and support more than 1000 clients and care partners with programs and services such as the day programs in Wallaceburg and Chatham, in-home respite care, First Link Care Navigation and education programs.
