Over two dozen families remain out of their homes following Sunday’s apartment fire in Wallaceburg.

The fire, which began in a third story unit on Wallace Street, caused an estimated $250,000 in damages.

25 families were evacuated and taken to the Moose Lodge while social services helped make arrangement for emergency accommodations.

The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office is working to find out what caused the fire, with help from Chatham-Kent Fire and Emergency Services as well as local police.
