Improvements to McNaughton Avenue and Murray Street in Wallaceburg will be getting underway in just a few weeks.
Chris Thibert, Chatham-Kent’s Manager of Infrastructure Services says throughout the project, one lane of traffic will remain open in both directions.
“We’re going to be starting at the Lord Selkirk Bridge and then heading southbound, keeping one lane of traffic open at all times,” Thibert says, “all the while maintaining access to residential home and businesses as well.”
Thibert says work is slated to begin on April 18th, and be completed by July 21st.
The reconstruction, funded through the province’s Connecting Links program, will include replacement of asphalt, curbs, gutter, sidewalks and traffic lights.
