A Wallaceburg driver is facing charges after being pulled over by provincial police over the weekend.

On Saturday, Elgin OPP pulled over a vehicle on Highway 40 for speeding, clocking the vehicle going 122 km/hr in an 80 zone.

Authorities say the driver failed a roadside screening test and was taken into custody.

The 20-year-old is now charged with driving while impaired, being a novice driver with a blood alcohol level over zero, and speeding.

The accused was also issued a 90-day license suspension and had his vehicle impounded for seven days.
