$30,000 in damage has been done to a detached garage in Wallaceburg yesterday afternoon. 
The blaze had firefighters from Chatham and Wallaceburg working quickly to make sure that the flames didn’t spread to neighbouring homes.
Officials say the heat of the day made battling the fire even more difficult.
Chatham-Kent Fire and Emergency Services would like to warn everyone that welding can cause hot sparks, and home welding should be done in a clear area to prevent ignition of surrounding materials.
