Wallaceburg’s high school and a Courtright manufacturing company are celebrating a long partnership that has supported students over the last 10 years.

Students at Wallaceburg District Secondary School have benefitted from a decade of financial support from CF Industries, which has benefitted several initiatives such as the School-wide Holiday Dinner, Hospitality Program, Welding Program, and the installation of Water Bottle Filling Stations. This year, funds will be directed toward enhancing the school’s science and horticulture programs.

“We take great pride in our partnership with WDSS. It is a privilege to give back to our community through both volunteer efforts and financial contributions that have a meaningful impact on students’ lives,” said Davina Anderson, manager of Human Resources at CF Industries, in a news release.

Over the summer, CF Industries also organized staff barbeques which raised over $2,000 for food and hygiene items for local students.

As well, two $1,000 scholarships from CF Industries are awarded to students each year for post-secondary education.

Both CF Industries and WDSS have expressed hope that their partnership continues long into the future.
