Five people are facing drug charges following a multi-jurisdictional police investigation that spanned several locations in southwestern Ontario, including Wallaceburg.

Ontario Provincial Police officers, with assistance from municipal police agencies, executed search warrants at five properties in London, Middlesex County, Tillsonburg, Woodstock, and on Murray Street in Wallaceburg on Tuesday, as part of a months-long investigation. Three vehicles were also searched.

As a result, officers seized a large quantity of suspected fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, oxycodone, and psilocybin with an estimated street value of $194,000. Police also seized a shotgun, ammunition, knives, a stun gun, laptops, cell phones, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and a quantity of cash.

Two London residents, two Woodstock residents and one from Tillsonburg, ranging in age from 30 to 44, are all facing a variety of drug trafficking and weapon-related charges in connection to the investigation. They all remain in custody pending a bail hearing.
