Wallaceburg Keeps Police Busy

Some strange goings on for police in Wallaceburg.

Wednesday morning around 7:00 tenants of a Thomas Avenue apartment woke to the sounds of a 48-year-old-woman scattering puzzle boxes all over the floor of the common area, moving furniture and causing a mess in the kitchen.

She was arrested and charged with mischief.

Meantime, a man assaulted his partner while she was driving a car.

The pair and their infant child were driving through Wallaceburg when they allegedly got into a fight and he struck her.

She stopped and tried to get out while he tried to hold her in the vehicle. She escaped his clutches and the fight continued outside the vehicle.

Eventually the woman drove the three of them home, where the man threatened the woman and police were called.

The 28-year-old was arrested and charged with assault, forcible confinement and uttering threats.
