Leaving messages and sending emails has resulted in charges for a local man.

In July, a 38-year-old from Wallaceburg was arrested on charges of criminal harassment and uttering threats. He was later released from custody with conditions, including not to communicate with the victim.

However, officers were called to the victim’s residence on Wednesday at around 11:30 a.m. after it was learned that the accused had allegedly attempted to make contact multiple times through email and by leaving voicemails.

The accused has since been arrested and is now additionally charged with two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking. He was taken to police headquarters and held in custody for a bail hearing.
