Police say last Friday morning, a man was driving on Base Line Road in Wallaceburg when the car in front of him suddenly hit the brakes and caused the man to swerve out of the way.

The vehicle followed the man into Wallaceburg and swerved in front of him, causing him to stop in the middle of the road.

The driver got out of his vehicle and walked up to the man’s car and punched the window until it started to crack.

The man got out to confront him and was punched in the head, but not injured.

The 45-year-old Chatham man is being charged with assault and has been released with a December court date.
