A Wallaceburg man has been slapped with impaired driving charges after a close call.
Chatham-Kent Police got a call late yesterday afternoon after the driver allegedly side-swiped another vehicle in Wallaceburg and narrowly missed hitting a pedestrian.
Officers were able to track down the suspect, thanks to a description of the vehicle and driver provided by witnesses at the scene.
The 52-year-old driver was arrested and taken to headquarters for breath tests a short time later.
