A Wallaceburg man has been arrested following a very public dispute in Dresden.

Chatham-Kent Police were called to Park Street just before 6 o’clock Monday evening and officers arrived to find a group of people yelling.

According to investigators, a man and woman got into an argument, but when some bystanders tried to intervene, the man allegedly lashed out at them as well.

The woman was taken to hospital for medical attention.

The 21-year-old man was arrested and charged with with aggravated assault, uttering threats, and six counts of assault.

He was taken to police headquarters and released with conditions and a date in court next month.
