It was a busy night and early morning for Chatham-Kent Police in Wallaceburg.
A 42-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged after a shoplifting incident at Circle K on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg.
And A 28-year-old Wallaceburg man of no fixed address continues to have issues with the law after an act of vandalism.
Police say the 28-year-old suspect was charged with mischief under $5,000 after throwing a rock at the drive through window of a business on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg overnight.
Employees noticed the damage early Monday morning. Police identified the suspect using video surveillance. He was released pending a future court date.
Damage was estimated at $500.
Police say the 42-year-old accused of shoplifting stole several items valued at approximately $95 from Circle K shortly after 6PM on Sunday night.
Officers located the suspect outside the store. He was taken into custody after a short foot chase.
The suspect is charged with theft under $5,000 and being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5,000. He was also arrested on several outstanding warrants.
The man is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
