A sexual assault investigation has led to charges for a Wallaceburg man.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers began the investigation on May 30 after a woman reported being sexually assaulted in Wallaceburg on May 25, sometime after midnight.
Officers were able to identify a suspect who was also under release conditions to stay at home between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.
The suspect, a 39-year-old man from Wallaceburg, has since been arrested and is now charged with one count each of sexual assault and failing to comply with a release order. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
