Wallaceburg Man Picks Wrong Bike Route

A Wallaceburg man picked the wrong time to blow through a RIDE checkpoint Sunday evening.

Chatham-Kent police had the program set up on Dufferin Ave. in Wallaceburg, when a man rode his bicycle through the stop.

Officers knew he was wanted so they grabbed him up.

The 53 year old Wallaceburg man was charged with theft under 5,000, and Possession of stolen property under 5,000.

He was later released with a future court date.

By the way, during the RIDE checkpoint they stopped 95 cars and no tickets were issued.
