The end of the majority of construction in Wallaceburg is in sight.
Chatham-Kent’s manager of Infrastructure Services, Chris Thibert says road work on Murray and McNaughton has been slightly delayed by weather, as asphalt and line painting is very weather-sensitive work.
“They’re applying the surface asphalt to Murray Street and McNaughton,” Thibert explains, “and following that the’re going to be the finishing touches to the line painting and making sure all the signage is back in place.”
Thibert says everything should be complete by the end of next week at the latest.
With an initial completion date of July 25th, the construction was extended to the end of August due to the discovery of an abandoned sewer line and insufficient road base in some sections on McNaughton.
