A 42-year-old man remains in hospital as police continue to investigate a shooting in Wallaceburg.
Chatham-Kent police officers responded to a disturbance in the area of Murray Street and Earl Street Friday at around 7 a.m., and the victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
While further information about the incident has not been released, authorities said on Tuesday that the victim is still in hospital in stable condition and it is expected that he will be released soon.
Police said the shooting was an isolated incident and there is no concern for public safety.
Officers with the Major Crimes Section are continuing to investigate, and are looking to speak with anyone with video surveillance in the areas of Murray, Wallace, and Earl streets.
