Athletic excellence will be honoured in Wallaceburg in April.
Eight new names will be added to the Wallaceburg Sports Hall of Fame for 2025 during a banquet at the UAW Hall on April 5.
Bill MacArthur Jr. and Deanna Kerkhof will be inducted as male and female athletes of the year, respectively, while Jake Lozon has been named Coach of the Year, and the Coach /Official Inductee is Chris Bergeron.
Emma Gorski and Megan McCarter will be recognized for Co Outstanding Achievement, Ferrah Blackbird and Lucas Laprise are to be inducted as Co Athletes of the year, and Rob McLachlan has been named the Builder Inductee.
The 2006/2007 Wallaceburg Minor Midget Hockey team will also be recognized as the Team Inductee.
The Ray Aarssen / Wallaceburg Sports Hall of Fame scholarship will be awarded to Nash Grealis.
The 43rd Annual Wallaceburg Sports Hall of Fame Awards Banquet will feature guest speaker Christine Simpson, whose broadcasting career has spanned over 20 years with Sportsnet and Hockey Night in Canada.
